Protection of Personal Data

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a law that was adopted by the European Parliament in April 2016 and enforced on May 2018. The regulation applies to the collection, processing and movement of personal data for individuals residing in Europe.

The Pilates Studio – Palma Personal Training respects the privacy of its (website) visitors and clients, in particular their rights regarding the collecting, processing and usages of personal data. We have therefore formulated and implemented a policy to be complete transparency with our customers regarding the processing of personal data and its purpose(s).

The Pilates Studio – Palma Personal Training, located on the Weissenbruchstraat 35 in The Hague with Chamber of Commerce registration number 27343048, is responsible for the processing of personal data as mentioned in the privacy policy. Contact person and owner is Catarina Palma.

This Privacy Policy page is a translation of the Dutch version. In case of discrepancies, interpretation etc. the Dutch version prevails.

Collection of Personal Data

When you sign up for a Pilates class or workshop, we will collect your personal data via a registration form. We use the data from the registration form to identify you for the appointments and payments. We will collect the following personal data in our agenda and booking software:

  • First name and surname
  • First name and surname
  • Phone number(s)
  • House address
  • Birthday*
  • Injuries and other physical complaints*

* you do not need to provide this information, but we recommend it, so that we can take this into account during the classes.

Processing of Personal Data

Here are some examples which includes, but are not limited to, how we process and use the data:

  • We use your name when making an appointment in our agenda.
  • We use your email and/or telephone number(s) when we book an appointment or when there are changes to an appointment.
  • We also make use of your email and address information for:
    • Identification purposes,
    • To send detailed receipt on request,
    • Reminders related to invoice that have not been paid,
    • Notification related to the studio holidays
    • When you log into our website to buy one of our session packages
  • We will discuss with you the information provided on injuries and other physical complaints to ensure we can provide you with an optimal training.

We use the agenda and booking software from MindBodyOnline. MindBodyOnline is complaint with GDPR and will also not provide the personal data to third parties. We also will not share your personal data with other third parties.

Cookies and personal data on www.palmapilates.nl

The website www.palmapilates.nl is managed by the Pilates Studio – Palma Personal Training.

A cookie is a small text file placed on the hard drive of your electronic device upon visiting our website. A cookie contains data so you can be recognized as a visitor when you are visiting our website. It enables us to adjust to your needs and it facilitates you to log in on our website. When you visit our website, we inform you about the use of cookies. By continuing to use our website you accept its use.

We use anonymous cookies to give you the best experience and to help our website run effectively by use of Google Analytics to understand traffic flows. Google Analytics will only look at group surfing behaviors and present graphics to help optimize and improve our website. We will not place any non-anonymized analytical cookies and / or tracking cookies on your computer, mobile phone or tablet.

If you use our contact form our website, we will only use your email address to answer your questions or to confirm your appointment. Email address and name used on the contact form will not been kept longer than necessary.

Your rights regarding your personal data

Pursuant to Article 13 paragraph 2 sub b GDPR each data subject has the right to information on and access to, and rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of his personal data, as well as the right to object to the processing and the right to data portability. Personal data retention

The collected data are used and retained for the duration determined by law. In the Netherlands, we need to keep the information from our financial administration for at least 7 years.

Changes to the Our Privacy Policy

We may change this privacy policy from time to time. If we do so, we will post the updated policy on our website and will indicate when the Privacy Policy was last reviewed. We recommend that you regularly check for changes and that you review this policy when visiting our website.
